As part of Catholic Schools Week, students from St. John Paul II Catholic High School helped out on service projects across Tallahassee.

Last week, students took part in a variety of projects helping local organizations including the Tallahassee Museum, Goodwood Plantation, Second Harvest of the Big Bend, Mission San Luis, the Leon County Humane  Society, the PHI Center, Open Door Women’s Clinic, Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, Good Shepherd Catholic Church, and St. Louis Catholic Church. Some students even helped out at the school.

As part of the SJPIICHS experience, students create and fulfill a Christian Service project in each of their four years. Students are required to perform a minimum of 100 volunteer hours before graduation. The program’s purpose is to enable students to see that service is part of our responsibility and calling as Christians.

Thanks to all of the organizations that allowed SJPIICHS students to help out. Thanks to all the students, faculty, parents, staff and other members of the SJPIICHS community who helped out our community.
