Congratulations to SJPIICHS senior Brian Woodend who was named Scholar Athlete of the Week by WTXL this week. During his time at SJPIICHS, Brian threw for more than 2,000 yards as the QB for the Panthers, played basketball, tackled lacrosse last year and plays baseball, all while keeping up a 3.2 GPA.
“Being a leader is a great thing to do,” Brian told WTXL. “No matter what, you should just keep striving to do the best you can do.”
“Brian’s one of those kids you don’t have to worry about,” Panthers baseball Coach Ken Silvestri said to WTXL. “He shows up everyday, he practice the way he plays. That’s one way you set an example for the younger kids.”
The entire SJPIICHS family is proud of Brian for his work in the classroom and on the field. Congratulations!
