On Tuesday, St. John Paul II Catholic High School was honored for having the most improved buckle up rate of high schools in Leon County as the Tallahassee Police Department and Fonvielle, Lewis, Messer & McConnaughhay sponsored the “Battle of the Belts.” Last month, two police officers watched the entrance of the school and counted how many students were wearing seatbelts. We’re proud to announce that 17 percent more of our students wore seat belts this year over last year.

The Tallahassee Police Department and Fonvielle, Lewis, Messer & McConnaughhay presented SJPIICHS with $1,000 in recognition of our community’s commitment to safety. For more on the award, read WTXL’s article on it.
