On Wednesday night, World Class Schools announced the winners for the Best & Brightest Awards which honor high school seniors from across Leon County for their high achievements in academics, leadership and helping the community.

Now in its 13th year, the Best & Brightest Awards have recognized more than 1,800 high school seniors and awarded more than $629,000 in scholarships.

Three students from St. John Paul II Catholic High School were runners up in their fields and were each awarded a scholarship for $750.
