Seniors attended Universal Studios Grad Bash this past Friday night.  The countdown to graduation has begun.  The night was filled with roller coasters, attractions, live music and a lot of fun.   This was a night they will remember!  Seniors have only 17 days of school left.  I do not know where the school year has gone, but I do know they have accomplished a lot collectively as a class.  Each one of these young men and women has used their gifts and talents that God has given them and are seeing the rewards of their hard work.  We have scholar-athletes, musicians, philanthropists, school leaders, artists, actors/actresses, entrepreneurs, dancers and more.  They have not taken these gifts and talents for granted and remember it is because of God they have these abilities.  I am confident that they will go on to do great things after they graduate from SJPII and look forward to when they come back to visit their alma mater!

In other news, I am excited to announce that we have a new football coach!  Ed Hill is a Tallahassee native and has coached for over 20 years.   He started the very first Pop Warner tackle football team and has experience in middle school and high school.  He runs a non-profit youth sports program, Gametime Prep that provides student-athletes the reality of playing at the collegiate level.  Gametime Prep has helped athletes in North Florida and Georgia earn over $1.2 million in scholarships.  We are very excited to welcome Coach Hill to the SJPII family and can’t wait to see what next football season brings!

Our drama club has been working very hard these past months with dance lessons, practices, voice lessons and creating sets.  Ms. Ruiz and her actors and actresses are ready to entertain us with the musical Thoroughly Modern Millie starting this Friday.  Tickets can be bought in the office.  You don’t want to miss out on this amazing performance.

Thank you to everyone who supported the annual Booster Golf Tournament this past Monday, especially our Booster Board and the Golf committee.  This is a great event with our community and the biggest Booster fundraiser of the year.  Boosters do important work in our athletic program, paying for uniforms, strength training, capital improvements like our new gym floor and, more generally assisting in the fundraising efforts of all of our athletics!  Please thank the Booster board for their hard work when you have a chance.

During this season of Lent, we are having Stations of the Cross on Fridays after school.  We will also be offering Confessions to our students on April 15th.  We invite you to join us for both along with our weekly Masses on Wednesdays at 10:15 a.m.

Re-enrollment for the 2019-2020 school year has begun and the response from our returning families is heartening.  There are still a few who have not re-registered and an online re-enrollment information was sent to your email address.  If you have not already re-enrolled, please do so as soon as possible so we can better judge which classes will have capcity for new students.

Speaking of new students, now is the time when parents are making decisions about where their children will attend high school next year.  If you know of a family who is looking at schools for their high schooler, please have them contact Mrs. McGowan, our Director of Enrollment, to schedule a tour.  You, our current SJPII families, are often our best recruiters.  Please spread the word so we can add to our family in the coming years.

Eucharistic Adoration is every 2nd and 4th Monday, in the chapel starting at 8 AM.  There are still time slots available if you can spare one hour of your time to come and pray.  Adoration will be on the 2nd and 4th Mondays of every month.

Upcoming Dates:
April 12th, 13th and 14th- Thoroughly Modern Milly Musical
