Coach Kez McCorvey is stepping down as head football coach at SJPIICHS to focus on other career opportunities. SJPIICHS is forever grateful for the impact Coach McCorvey made in his year as the head coach of our program. He is a tremendous leader and, even more importantly, an excellent role model for the young men who played for him. SJPIICHS wishes him nothing but the best as he continues his career.

New SJPIICHS Head Football Coach France Green

“This past year was an example of the tremendous potential of the St John Paul II football program,” Coach McCorvey said. “I was able to come into a great situation, and I feel fortunate that we were able to reach all of our goals together. At this point I feel that life is calling me in a different direction than being the head football coach here at JPII, but I will always be a Panther. Some of the best memories, and some of the most fun I have ever had in all my years associated with football have been made here at St. John Paul II. I absolutely loved my time as the coach of this program.”

SJPIICHS is pleased to announce that Coach McCorvey will be handing the Head Coaching reins to his Assistant Head Coach France Green. Coach Green served as offensive coordinator during the 2017 team’s historic season and has built strong relationships with the players and the entire St. John Paul II family over the past year. Before coaching at SJPIICHS, Coach Green was an assistant coach at Lincoln and Godby High Schools. Coach Green played his collegiate career at Tulane University from 1987-1992.

Coach McCorvey praised Coach Green as he takes over the program.

“Coach Green will be a phenomenal fit, and he will continue to lead the football program in an exciting direction,” Coach McCorvey said.

St. John Paul II Catholic High School is excited to continue the great momentum we have experienced in our football program over the past few years and we look forward to Coach Green’s new role as he continues to form our student athletes in mind, body, and spirit.
