SJPII College Advising Approach
At St. John Paul II Catholic High School, we’re ready to help all students choose a path best suited to their unique abilities and interests.
The College Advisor works collaboratively with students, parents, teachers and administration to provide informed advising to our students as they explore options beyond high school graduation. We encourage a purposeful approach, one that cultivates the necessary self-knowledge for students to take ownership and make good choices about their future both during high school and the college application process.
While many of our students go on to attend selective colleges, we believe that it is most important for every student to find colleges and universities that “fit” them, institutions where they are most likely to have room to grow and to meet their full potential, academically, spiritually and personally. We encourage all students to approach the college search as a learning process, one of self discovery, with the goal of enrolling at a school where they will thrive.
